Colitis Treatment, Crohn’s, IBD and IBS

Colitis Treatment has been a puzzle for many for long time and seems like there are several colitis treatment solutions.

Most of them however work only for a few individuals and it all seems that you have to sort of find the combination of several colitis treatment options to fit your condition.

Ulcerative Colitis (UC) as well as Crohn’s disease fall under the inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a bit different from IBD as it’s a non-inflammatory condition.

CBD and medical marijuana as colitis treatment

After doing a ton of research I am again brought to this fascinating plant – cannabis.

Seems like it everyone that has tried to use cannabis in any form seems to make the most difference of all of the options recommended out there. And truth be told,.. there’s soooo much information on the internet, it’s almost impossible to quickly find colitis treatment that would work for you right away.

Plus you have no idea weather the information is there as a genuine, truthful recommendation or just an article that is trying to sell you some pills or something. Even if the colitis treatment they are pushing you is all natural and zero side effect and all of that. Still, hard to know if it’ll work for you and hard to know if it’s genuine.

I tried to gather here my finding to help you save time and to not just say CBD (cannabidiol) and cannabis seems to work the most as a colitis treatment but show you testimonials and stories of people that have been successful Crohn’s disease survivers, colitis survivors by using CBD oil.

Some of them say that smoking made a difference for them, although smoking is not something we recommend since there is a healthier option to consume cannabis and medical marijuana.
And that is in the form of cannabis oil.

Depending on the CBD and THC ratio of the oil, High CBD and low THC cannabis oil is considered a diatery supplement and does not give you the “high” that is associated with recreational cannabis. It’s also not FDA regulated and is legal in most parts of the world (be smart and do check with your local authorities before ordering it) it as treatment for your colitis.

Interestingly the cannabis oil that has (almost) zero THC seems to work best as colitis treatment, as Crohn’s treatment, as IBS and IBD treatment.

Shona Banda and her story how cannabis oil helped her with her Crohn’s disease:

This is what she says:
My name is Shona Banda and I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease about 9 years ago and had every, every condition that you can think of I’ve endured. I went through the beginning stages of the disease where I was having strictures or blockages in my bowels with surgeries and drugs to fix that, all the way to the terminal stages of the disease, where I was loosing weight quite drastically and my body was starving because any food that I ate, was gone within minutes and my body was not able to absorb any nutrition I was trying to give it.

I was so sick for so long, that as soon as I tried the oil and started feeling way better; that there was no turning back that was it that was it. No medication that any doctor had ever worked that well for any reason.

I had watched Rick Simpson’s movie and I live in Kansas and you need a whole pound of it to make the two ounces to cure you and I cried. Like there is no way. And I accidentally found out how to do it with a little fifty-dollar glass dome vaporizer and a five-dollar spatula.

Scrape that stuff out and scoop it into a pill and eat it three times a day. It’s just amazing, it really is.

I really was on my deathbed just lying there in my bed just waiting. Cause I was in and out of the hospital so much, and in and out of the emergency room, that the last couple of times that I went in, there’s nothing we can do for you, I had gotten to the point that I didn’t want to be a burden didn’t want to do anything, I was literally waiting to die. And that’s when I accidentally found the oil. Within three days, I no longer needed my cane, I could stand upright, and that was it. My life changed forever.

John speaks about colitis treatment for his son

John speaks on a MA Medical Marijuana Hearing as a father how this helps his Son’s medicate Crohn’s Disease:

Crohn’s treatment for Greg

Greg has been battling Crohn’s disease for 30 plus years and has been “a gynie pig” for all sorts of pharmaceutical drugs. Most of them gave them terrible side effect.

It was only smoking cannabis that gave him great results with no side effects. It’s what he recommends as Crohn’s and colitis treatment:

Finally an abstract from one of the medical researches on Colitis Treatment, Crohn’s and IBD that says: “Cannabidiol reduces intestinal inflammation through the control of neuroimmune axis”:

This mini review highlights the importance of cannabidiol (CBD) as a promising drug for the therapy of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). Actual pharmacological treatments for IBD should be enlarged toward the search for low-toxicityand low-cost drugs that may be given alone or in combination with the conventional anti-IBD drugs to increase their efficacy in the therapy of relapsing forms of colitis. In the past, Cannabis preparations have been considered new promising pharmacological tools in view of their anti-inflammatory role in IBD as well as other gut disturbances. However, their use in the clinical therapy has been strongly limited by their psychotropic effects. CBD is a very promising compound since it shares the typical cannabinoid beneficial effects on gut lacking any psychotropic effects. For years, its activity has been enigmatic for gastroenterologists and pharmacologists, but now it is evident that this compound may interact at extra-cannabinoid system receptor sites, such as peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma. This strategic interaction makes CBD as a potential candidate for the development of a new class of anti-IBD drugs.

Colitis Treatment Conclusion

CBD (cannabidiol), an all natural option as a Colitis treatment, especially in the form of tincture or oil is a very healthy, no side effects way of battling any form of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Reports, testimonials and even medical studies show it as a potentially the best way to treat it.
